1985 Chevy El Camino V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

With the key on or vehicle running,the choke light stays on.Heres the problem,the heater fan won't work on any speed and if you move the switch the choke light gets brighter as you move it from low to high. Please help , THANK YOU, in advance.
