Engine Performance problem
1989 Chevy Corvette V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 26,000 orig miles

I tested a multitude of parts, no codes. Repeatedly and every time, it wound not fire up after it was warmed up and shut off.
Injector pulses are good and change appropriately when it warms and are still present when I try to re-start warm. Spark is always good, consistant and strong. Batt is new and strong.
Only until i installed a fuel pressure test gauge(when it was cold, before I first started it) did it restart (fire up)after I shut it off and I tried to restart it.
It fires up every time with the test gauge installed.

help
whats going on?

By installing the fuel pressure gauge you may have allowed fuel pressure to release. This would be a good sign of the fuel pump starting to fail. If it happens again just try releasing the pressure at the fuel port. Then you will know that is a fuel related issue.
