Electrical problem
1984 Chevy Corvette V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 166K miles

My 84 corvette will not turn over. I have a new battery in it. All accessories work when I turn on ACC to include the coolant fan. When I turn the key to start all accessories go off and nothing happens. I am leaning toward two things...the Theft deterent system is engaged or the battery cables are worn and too corroded near the starter where I can't reach.
