My battery was low so I put it on the charger, still hooked up to battery cables. There's little room to get to the battery box, and sparks errupted when I clamped the positive charging clamp. I tried to start the car today, and nothing. No electricity at all. Battery is charged, but no current going to anything. Any ideas on the problem I've created? Thx in advance - JD

You probably blew the fusible link/s at the starter motor solenoid check and test

Since I have no electrical at all (dash, console, gauges, lights, etc), I was suspecting something more dire in the overall system. I was under the impression that the battery fed the interior system and lights, and the starter when the key is on but not cranked, and after cranked the alternator kicked in for everything but the starter. Thx
