I have a 75 Corvette with a 350 in it that wont start for me suddenly. It cold started and ran like it usually would but after about half a block, the engine just cut out. No strange sounds, just turned off. Tried to turn it back on and the engine cranked but wouldnt turn over so I had my buddy tow me back to the house. The next day I decided to give it another try( I thought maybe some moisture had gotten into the distributor since it had been raining the past few days) and it started great. I ran it pretty hard for about 15 mins before I took it back home, no problems. I decided to take a look at the distributor to clean the contacts, put it back together and now its back to just cranking up again. After some trouble shooting, my friend and I cant seem to get any spark but the spark plugs, cables are fairly new. Bought a new rotor for the distributor but no change. Any ideas?

If you have an HEI distributor, I would check the module first. It's under the rotor. If you have points, check for a grounded wire and replace the capacitor.

Sorry, I never posted that I had fixed it already but thats what I changed out and I havent had any problems since then so thanks anyways, what u said was right. I read that the module can be intermittent and thats why it passed the bench test I had done to it.
