I have a 1996 Chevy Corsica. It has about 106K miles on it...I recently drove it home from work as always on Saturday and everything was fine. I tried to start it on Sunday and it just wont start. The engine is turning however it is not kicking over. The starter seems ok because its not clicking or anything...and I even connected jumper cables to it thinking it may be the battery but that didn't work. My gas gauge is broken so I added some gas to it and it still wont work...please help as I need to get the car started today!

Is it making a clicking noise when you try and start it?
If it is that then it is probably your alternator.

If your saying it cranks good, but won't start, then you need to check the basics.

Have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs, if you have good spark, then move on to the fuel system.

I don't know your engine size?
