Where is the crank sensor on a 96 corsica, 4 cyl? I just took my car to a shop and had the crank sensor replaced, which they had a lot of trouble getting it out. Finally they switched it out, and I pick the car up and I smelled coolant after driving it home. I look and see a crack in the resivour tank. I'm fairly certain it wasn't there before I took the car in. Is it possible they cracked it when trying to get the old sensor out?

the crank sensor is on the back side of the engine and hard to get to. between the trans and engine. they may have inadvertently cracked it and just take it back and discuss it with them. If they did it and are reputable they will try to come up with an aggreement.
