1995 Chevy Corsica check engine light

Engine Performance problem
1995 Chevy Corsica 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Everytime we drive the car when the check engine light comes on the car dies it takes about 15min to start back up. Do not know what the problem is have been told that the ingnition module could be bad. Have replaced many things on the car from my wifes brother put it on a computer and we replaced the map sensor the egr valve. Just would like to know what you would suggest that it could be tired of throwing money away

WHen you had the computer scanned, what codes were found? Also, can you get the car to go at all or does it always die? Finally, have you checked fuel pump pressure or check to see if the converter is clogging? Which V6 do you have?
