My corsica when warm and at idle, the low oil pressure light comes on. Has a fresh oil change and full of oil. Im curious how this engine develops oil pressure? If it is an oil pump in the oil pan is it possible to replace it without removing the engine.
THANK YOU!

Looks liek the 4 cyl it will come out if you remove the starter and unbolt the exhaust pipe at the manifold. The oil pump is in the pan. Thsi may be a wera or clearance problem though, the bearings need to be checked while it is apart. Has the oil pressure been verified with a manual gauge to be sure it is low and it isnt just a bad sender for the warning light?

Find the sender for the light, should be next to the oil filter. Remove it and install a manual gauge there. Verify oil pressure
