This is a 1993 Corsica with a 3.1 multiport fuel injection automatic trans. The car runs great for about 15 miles or so then if you have to stop the car acts as if it is seizing up and then the engine dies. You can start it back up right away but if you put it in gear it just dies again. If you let it set and cool down for awhile then it works fine again until your next stop. Seems the the problem is in the transaxle, have heard that the tork converter locks up when it gets to hot. I have also heard that there is a wire that can be disconnected and this corrects this problem. Can anyone enlighten me as to where this wire is or how to correct this problem. Thank you for any help you can give.

Thanks for the info will let you know how it goes. From what I can estimate it has to do with the transaxles solenoid. I have been reading about a lot of problems before 2003 on similar vehicles.

I found my problem to be the tcc solenoid which is the transmission lockup solenoid. :D
