Engine Performance problem
1990 Chevy Corsica 4 cyl Automatic 140000 miles

If I drive for over an hour, when I slow below 10 mph, the car bucks, then stalls out. If I throw it into first gear before it bucks too much and keep the engine a little revved it will prevent the stalling for another good 20 minutes of driving (can then shift from first back into drive no problem). When it stalls out, the dash lights all come on. The car starts back up immediately but can`t be put in gear...just jerks forward and dies again. When lucky, I can rev the engine just right (after restarting in park) and throw it into first and it won`t die (gets me out of the road at least), can then put it in drive and carry on...until stopping again (or going below 5-10mph and it stalls violently again). I changed the MAP sensor which fixed the same issue 8 months prior...to no avail this time. Any ideas what is going on? Thanks in advance

check the tranny fluid for me and see if its low, because I think your problem is with the torque convertor or torque converter clutch solenoid..
