This vehicle was bought new from a local dealer and within less than a month it developed a brake squeal from the front left area. I have taken it to the dealer a couple of times since its under warranty still, the first time the cleaned the rotors and drums I guess maybe with brake solvent and the second time they put on a set of ceramic brake pads. That did not change anything at all, if anything it made it worse. I am very easy on the brakes and the rotors and pads show hardly any wear. With that few miles it should not have much wear anyway. I have and idea it is just the materials that are being used on this vehicle on the front brakes, the rotors in particular. The brakes work just fine but it just has an annoying squeal when coming to a stop. Do you think maybe after market rotors might work to fix the problem? Should I push the dealer to try that? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi there,

I would give the rotors a very light re surface and toss the ceramic pads & look for a no metallic softer compound pad. Your brake specialist will be able to advise on what compound to use.
