I drove about 50 miles. Stopped for about 2 hours and started truck again. It just sort of sputtered and died, then it would not start again. It turns over, but seems not to be getting any gas. I can hear the fuel pump humming (?) when I turn on the ignition. There is a faint smell, does not exactly smell like gas, more of an ether type smell (?). It was sudden. I have never had any hint of a problem with starting the truck or the way it runs. Please give me a couple of suggestions if you can.

At that mileage a fuel pump or two wouldnt be out of the question.Try shooting a little carb cleaner in the intake (down throttle bore) and see if it will light. The pump can run, but not put out enough presure to start/run the vehicle.I haveeven seen them too weak to start the vehicle, but could keep it running once started.
