1995 Chevy Cheyenne My truck keeps dying when I start it

When I start my truck it starts and idles fine until I put in gear then it dies I have to either keep one foot on the gas or gun it it runs fine while I am driving it until I go to start it again and put it in gear

Hi Susiedooley, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation this is what keeps us going

Try cleaning out the idle air control valve and EGR and PCV valves ansd test the throttle position and manifold absolute pressure sensors.
