1995 Chevy Cheyenne Eng won't stay running

Engine Mechanical problem
1995 Chevy Cheyenne Four Wheel Drive Automatic 205, 00 miles

I bought it cheep it neaded a lot of work I replased the oil pan brake lines fuel lines timeing chain the markes line up but the chain was sloppy the new chain was tight I also replaced the wireing for the throtlbody it was burned up. It ran ok befor I did all the work know it will start and run abought 5 sec and if I push on the throt it die's. Im thinking I nead to retime the eng I did replac the timeingchine and I may have messed up the timeing what do you think?

Also, with engine cranking, check for spark at the plugs. Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Check for trouble codes.

The eng is a 5.7 it has spark fuel pressure? It would idle ok but when you would steep on the gas it wonld die. I changed the throdlebody I got one from the junk yard it did not work so I put the old one back on I changed the throdle sensre and now it wont stay idieing not shure if I should chang the throdlebody or retime the eng?

The ignition timing spec is the same for both 5.0 and 5.7.

Are there any trouble codes? My info shows shows TBI fuel injection, you should be able to see injector spray pattern, do they appear to be the same? Fuel pressure around 10 psi. Right now it sounds like your running too lean for some reason? Maybe a vacuum leak? When you open the throttle is sounds like too much air or not enough gas.
