1994 Chevy Cheyenne V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i put a new starter on my 454 and it started and ran I drove it to a store and turned it off and it wont start now. When I turn the key it makes one click and thats it?

I'd have to make sure the battery has a full charge and all connections are good. Can you tell if there is a load on the starter circuit, when you try to crank, watch the lites, will it crank in neutral? If you have good voltage and ground at the starter and no action, I'd have to pull the starter. Just a thought, you can remove the dust cover for the flywheel, see if the starter pinion gear is kicking out?
