Hi guys,

I have a 1992 Olds cutlass cierra with a 3.3 engine. I first got the car and replaced the inline fuel filter. I got the car home and thought that I would clean out the screen on the "mass air flow cencor". It would not start so,I replaced the cencor and I had a very bad time trying to get the car started again, but, it finally did start but ran very rough. After I got it started, I finally got a code 42. I checked the fuel pressure and it reads ok. I checked the spark plugs and they are a yellow white color, not blue. So, I replaced the ignition module under the 3 coil packs(?) Now the car does not start at all and I cannot get the check engine light to come on either. Could it be the computer on board or the crankshaft censor? Help. Ken

hi
the code 42 is est signal , is your car has distributor less ignition ??? and you replaced the ic module already ???, if you have some help , you can do some basic testing , keep hands clear of moving parts and have someone crank the engine while you shake the ic module harness and maf harness , i need to know if it is dis or not and if it has a tach on the cluster, oh aslo check every fuse in the car , and under the hood
