Hi guys,

I have a 1992 Olds cutlass cierra with a 3.3 engine. I first got the car and replaced the inline fuel filter. I got the car home and thought that I would clean out the screen on the "mass air flow cencor". It would not start so, I replaced the cencor and I had a very bad time trying to get the car started again, but, it finally did start but ran very rough. After I got it started, I finally got a code 42. I checked the fuel pressure and it reads ok. I checked the spark plugs and they are a yellow white color, not blue. So, I replaced the ignition module under the 3 coil packs(?) Now the car does not start at all and I cannot get the check engine light to come on either. Could it be the computer on board or the crankshaft censor? Help. Ken

Hi
the code 42 is est signal, is your car has distributor less ignition? And you replaced the ic module already, if you have some help, you can do some basic testing, keep hands clear of moving parts and have someone crank the engine while you shake the ic module harness and maf harness, I need to know if it is dis or not and if it has a tach on the cluster, oh aslo check every fuse in the car, and under the hood
