Hello, is the coil in the cap? Did you use the test lite on the tach terminal at the cap? With the engine cranking, the lite should pulse? Does the tach terminal give an rpm reading?

Hello, you may have to use a tach, to make sure there is an rpm signal. If there is an rpm signal, the problem has to be either the coil wire, cap or rotor.

With the engine cranking, does the rotor turn?

Sorry I didn't post back sooner, my DSL broke down, couldn't get on the internet.

I figured out the problem I have the ecm tested at autozone and they said it was good and after reading in the repair manual for about 3 days everything seemed to point to the ecm so I just decided to replace it any way and the car hasnt stoped running since go figure I hate going to autozone but it is the only parts store in my town thank you for your time though
