I have a 2004 chevy cavalier with a 2.2. With 193000 miles. It died and wouldn't start. Fuel pressure was low so I changed the fuel pump and filter. Still would not start. If you hold the throttle pedal to the floor it starts and then dies. Checked the tps and it was good fuel pressure is good

Can u here the fuel pump kicking on, (buzz sound).
Also I would check to see if youre battery is fully charged, Also check to see if u have spark coming from one of youre plug wires, If not then, U got burnt out coil pack needing to be replaced.

I would get your car checked with a code reader even if the check engine light is not on because some codes willn't turn on the light. I suspect cam or crank sensor?
