Hi !
I have a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier 2, 2l automatic transmission with 160,000 km. Motor starts and runs good. Go for a ride for 15 about minutes then it stalls.
When this appens I parked it along the road. The motor starts good and runs good on park or neutral but as soon I put the tranny in drive, reverse, L1, or L2 position the tranny have a hard knocking sound on the wheel shaft and the motor stalls , if I let it stay for about 30 minutes I can start and go continue driving but the problem comes back

It should be located near the front of the transmission, U should see a black or gray plastic electrical plug.
