how exactly do you install the electric fan thermostat so the electric radiator fan will operate? The fan does not come on unless the air conditioner is running and then the fan stays on the whole time the air conditioner is on.

Hello,

Ok, does the vehicle have 2 fans? If so does one not come on at all and the other only when the A/C is turned on. Now, did you just notice this about the A/C and the fan. I ask because it is pretty normal in most makes and models with 2 eletric fans.
The part you are asking about replacing is the Coolant Temp Sensor and it is usually mounted in the area of the thermostat housing.

Hi,
The car only has one fan, but I'm not sure if it originally had two fans or not. We bought the car used and they had replaced the original fan or fans with a used fan. About 3 months ago we replaced that fan with a new one and it has been happening ever since we replaced it. When we bought the new fan we did not know that it had to have a fan thermostat and we just didn't know where to put it. Thank you very much for your help.
