My oil pressure warning light started to come on a few weeks ago. It would only come on and stops and goes away while moving. The oil level is good. Then yesterday i was driving on the highway and go to accelerate and the mph's started going down. Soon enough i had to pull over and the car died out. The oil pressure light came on and the battery light came on, no ses light. I opened the hood and a little smoke was coming out. I had it towed home and the next day i replaced the battery because i knew for sure it needed to be replaced. So i started to do a little diag and the car will start with no smoke. When i put it into drive it chugs and dies. It will idle just fine though. Where do i begin to diagnose the problem? fuel, spark, or motor?
