2000 Cav 2.2 78,000 miles, i will be driving along and it will just die on me. There will be no sputtering or jerking of the car. I try to start the car and it will crank over and start then die again. If i wait about 10-20 mins it will start just fine. NO check engine light and had the computer read and nothing showed up. Last tune up was about 4 months ago.

Thanks

hello, i have a similar problem; i have a 2000 cav with 108,000 miles on it and I can drive it at around 70mph for about 30-45 minutes and then it will cough and sputter, then stall; i'll let it sit on the side of the road for about 10-15 minutes, then it'll start again and repeat the process; if you get any help I was wondering if you could send it my way? and vice-versa i'll tell you.

my e-mail is nyjoker26@yahoo.com

I would recommend getting a new fuel filter replaced,Could have blockage there. Also Might want to get the throttle body cleaned out, Also new air filter and plugs and wires. That would be my first inspensive route to do first. May need a fuel pressure test done on youre fuel pump.
