I have the belt I'm not sure on how to put it on

If it is the engine belt:
One of the pullies it goes over will be mounted on a spring loaded arm. This arm needs to be compressed to get the belt to fit. Run the belt over all the pullies except for the spring loaded one, then pry the arm back and slip the belt over the final pully.
