WOW, 4 heater cores, Ive got 01 cavalier with 165,000 k's on it, Heater core is orginal, Maybe you just got bad luck, with heater cores, Usually heater cores have a limited lifetime warranty, I know its a pain in the butt of a job, Could try buying a different brand or another auto parts store, Ive havent had to many problems with heater cores, When replaced. Some-times the way the heater core mistaken for leaking is the heater core hoses are old and allow coolant to leak in the cars interior area.

GoodLuck.

What is happening to the heater cores is the fluid leaking right out, like there rotting out?? Or are thay splitting or cracking. I know alot of times heater cores go bad because people don't relize that if coolant is left in to long it gets very acidy and eats at everything even the heads and engine block!!!
