I have a 1997 Chev Cavalier. It has about 150,000 miles. Engine 2.2 if not mistaken. The car wouldn't start so I checked the ingnition fuse (50 amp) and it was blowed. I replaced the fust and the car started immediately BUT stalled on me again after driving maybe 10 miles. I checked the fuse that I had just installed and it was blowed again. What could be causing the fuse to keep blowing?

It is probably a wire that is rubbing somwhere and is shorting only in certan posistions. Like if you hit a bump or turn the car a certin way etc. The only way to find it is to put a new fuse back into it and start shakeing wires around. I would start by looking under the hood real good. then look around the fuse and relay center under the hood. When your shaking wires around you will know when you find it because it will spark and probably blow the fuse.
