how do you replace the water pump in a 1996 chevy cavalier?

REMOVAL PROCEDURE 1.Negative battery cable. 2.Drain and recover the cooling system. 3.Loosen water pump. pulley bolts. 4.Drive belt. 5.Water pump. pulley attaching bolts, then remove the pulley. 6.Coolant surge tank hose. 7.Water pump attaching bolts, then remove the pump. Clean sealing surfaces completely. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 1.Using a new gasket, install the pump. Tighten bolts to25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) 2.Water Pump Pulley to Pump. Tighten bolts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) 3.Drive belt. 4.Fill the cooling system. Refer to Bulletin No. 63-62-03. 5.Negative battery cable. 6.Inspect for leaks.
