Suspension problem
1991 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Automatic 176000 miles

The lugnuts are snapped (the screw part is broken in half). Everyone is telling me the rotor needs replacing. I know that. But the rotor is not what caused the wheel to fall off. Before the tire fell off, when I would let off the gas, I could hear a LOUD clunking noise. Help?

You will have to replace the hub bearing. It bolts to front knuckle and holds wheel to knuckle, and most likely the rotor is bad and possibley the CV shaft.
