1991 Chevy Cavalier Check Gauge Light

The check gauge light is on, on my dash board. The oil gauge is staying all the way to the left, ('0' oil pressure), is there something I can look for to correct this?

Look into the oil pressure switch. Not sure where it is on the older cavaliers, should be located in the oil filter housing. It is probably leaking, and shorted out-causing your zero oil pressure to the dash.
