1994 Chevy Caprice pass key fault

1994 Chevy Caprice V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 190000 miles
the appeared 2 xs one my intrument panel once when it appeared that I had a dead battery( when i turn the key everything when dead but after a few trys it started right up)
the second time was warmeing the car up and when back to shut it off and as it was runnng pass key fault appeared. what does this mean?????

it means the diode in your ignition key is probably bad and you need to get a new key with teh proper diode. Your manual may show you how to do this if you still have it.
