Make sure the intake gasket isn't leaking. Also, check for vacuum leaks.

Hello, just about anything can cause a misfire issue, fuel--spark, whatever. How long since a tune-up, you know, plugs--plug wires--cap--rotor--air filter--fuel filter? Those are maintenance issues, may not fix your problem, but it's a start. Can you check for codes?

If you think it is a fuel issue, use a fuel pressure gage. The last time I looked at a discount auto store the gage didn't cost as much as a fuel pump. Might not be the best, better than nothing.

If your data link connector has 12 cavities like the picture, you use a jumper between terminals A & B, turn the key on, just till the dash lites come on, no crank. The check engine lite goes to flashing, you count the flashes to get get the codes. I also agree with jacobandnickolas about the vacuum leak.
