Hi, and thanks for the help. Recently, someone broke into my cay and attempted to steal it. They popped off the outside of the igniton and stuck a screwdriver inside the slot for the key. My key will still go in, and I believe I only need to replace the igniton key warning switch. However, I can't figure out for the life of me, how to get the plastic off of the steering column. Also, as I don't believe any damage was done to the actual ignition switch nside, I shouldn't need to replace the entire switch, correct?

You will have to remove the steering wheel, lock plate and turn signal switch in order to change the lock and cylinder.
This will require a few special pullers.
If you do not have them your better off to take it in to your local repair shop to have it changed.
It will cost you about an hours labor.
You can buy the lock and cylinder from any auto parts store but you may want to take it to a locksmith to have it keyed the same as the original so the door locks can still be opened with the ignition key.
