Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1991 Chevy Caprice V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my car loses power after running about 4 minutes from a cold start. I have to really work the accelorater to keep it moving. At first I thought it was the tran. But the fluid level is fine; and it shifts normal when cold. The engine runs ok- rpms, etc.
any ideas?

Sounds like a semi-plugged or plugged catalytic convertor OR a weak fuel pump to me. When its happening, step on the brake pedal. If the pedal is hard, most likely a convertor as a plugged convertor will take away engine vacuum and the brake pedal is powered by engine vacuum.

Code 43 is a knock sensor code. Either the sensor has picked up a knock and has retarded the timing (loss of power?) Or there is something wrong with the knock sensor system making it retard the timing when it shouldnt. Thats going to be a really hard one to diagnose online.
