Transmission problem
1990 Chevy Caprice V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i was driving on the freeway and when i tried to get over,my car just revved up but didnt go into gear.The car stayed crunk until i cut it off and it wouldnt turn back on,only turn over.Whats the problem?

a couple of pososibilities here, either there is a fuel problem/ignition problem or you may have threw a tiiming chain when it revved up. you'll have to check all three . Bu tit soulnds like your trans is shot too.
