Engine Performance problem
1985 Chevy Caprice Automatic 160000 miles

A few days ago, I bought a blue, 1985 chevy caprice classic at an auction for $375. After I first tried to start it, it would crank up and try to turn over but it wouldnt start. Its been abandoned for a few months so im not sure whats wrong. The engine is great and the car seems to have been well taken care of but it wont start. When we first bought it, the radiator didnt have any fluid in it so we filled it up with water. Is it possible that the radiator could be flooded? Im not sure whats wrong? Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Do below:

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it
