1983 Chevy Caprice 100000 miles

i have changed my brake light and it still eill not come on when I press the paddle. It comes on when I turn the ligts on but when I drive only one comes on?

Welcome to the forum, I'd have to check bulbs and bulb sockets, check voltage and ground going to the bulb socket. The turn and brake use same bulb filament, not at the same time. Lower brake lites are wired through the turn switch.
