2000 Chevy Camaro why wont it start

i put the key in the ignition an turn, but no crank. it wont turn over, why not

Check the battery and make sure it has power. Also make sure the car isnt in a drive gear. If all thats ok...take a test light and make sure the starter is getting power. Check all the fuses also.
