I have a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro with 90,000 original miles. It has a 3.4 v-6. I noticed when I am on the highway and the transmission has shifted to overdrive and I try to accelerate to pass a vehicle I can feel it shuttering. The engine will backfire and then shift out of overdrive. If I manually shift from OD to D it does not do this. I have changed the transmission fluid and filter. About 10,000 miles ago it had new plugs, plug wires and fuel filter put on it. Any idea what might be wrong.

How would I go about testing them, is it something I could do or should I get a dealership to do it.
