the car wont idle or run unless you constantly pump the gas as long as you surge the engine it will remain 'running" if you hold the throtle part way down to get a fast idle it dies. Whats up? We have replaced :
fule pressure regulator, map senser, idle senser, throtle position senser, i'm lost please help

Hello, I'd take the throttle-body off and give it a cleaning, make sure all the passages are clear. Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Check for any codes. Any senors you replaced, did you check the wiring circuits first?

All circuts have been checked and the problem still is present this is a 5.7 tpi and I am completly lost

You may have to get somebody to put a scanner on it, so they can look at live engine data.

I was having problems with my 1990 tpi idling. I also replaced the MAP sensor, the IAC valve, and had a diagnostic run on it. It turned out to be a bad fuel injector. This can be pricy if you have a shop do it. Me and my dad took it upon ourselves to do it. Factory replacements run about 200 a piece, but we bought a refurbished set on ebay and did it ourselves for about the price of one fuel injector. I hope this helps.
