I own a 1991 chevy camaro rs. It has a 305 v8 with 222906 miles on it. When I first crank and drive its fine but after 1/4 mile of going down the road it wont go over 5-10 mph I do have a transmission leak. Also when I driving their is this loud squealing noise but my brakes are fine I already checked them but when I hit the brakes the squeal goes away. Ok so I know it is the Cadillac converter but how do I check it can any one tell me where it is at add how to check it.

Well the squealing is from the brakes there is a wear sensor on only one pad, pull the tire and do a closer inspection. When the tranny leaks enough fluid you don't go slow, you don't go! Check the converter for a clog, or other issues! Any check engine light?
