My camaro wont start, it seems as if i dont get a spark (checked cant see it) , it DOES have the check engine light on, message says to replace maf sensor but it costs about $130.00 and its a bit of money for me. my question is if the maf sensor could keep my engine from starting?

Well if the check engine light on, message says to replace maf sensor, I am pretty sure that would cause the problem you are have. Replace the sensor it should correct youre propblem.
