Car was fine earlier tonight. Was parked for 6 hours - lights were not left on that I know of - stereo probably not turned off when car turned off, but that shouldn't matter. When my son tried to start it to come home all he got was click click click. A friend tried to jump it, but it still won't start. Just click, click, click. What is it? Sounds like the starter or solenoid to me, but I could be wrong because I haven't heard it yet.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

I would be thinking that you have a starter problem, check the voltage at the starter solenoid with key on crank, you want 12V and make sure that you have voltage at the main terminal and all battery terminals are clean & tight.

me and my wife were having the same problem so we took the battery to have it tested it tested good so we tryed another battery and it fixed the problem it is not always the starter we noticed that the battery had a bulge in it if you have that change your batter first its the easiest to start with before you tear the starter out
