Car has alot of play (jeaks back and forward) when not accelerating. The transmission is new and the u-joints are new. The rear end has about 135,000. The car was an automatic transmission and still has the originial rear end.

You'll have to check your rear axle if everything has been fixed up front. You'll have to pull the rear plate off the back and check the gears for wear as well as how much play is in the spider gears. The washers in the spider gears may be worn out or you could have play in the splines in the axles as well as the driveshaft yoke. Sometmes when a cars its for long pepriods and new oil is added the gears get what is called etching and by driving it even with new oil the gears wear out. If this is the case then it wil be time for an axle overhaul.
