my chevy blazer only starts when you use starter fuild

i have a 1997 chevy blazer 4x4 with 120.000 miles and automactic trans. Everytime i start yhe truck i need to pull off the cover to the carbutor and spary starting fuild into the cubutor and the the truck fires right up. but if i dont spary anything at all the truck just acts like it wants to start but doesnt, Thanks

Your fuel pump maybe going out. It is pretty common on those that when the fuel pump starts to fail the pressures at key up will be below 50psi and have just enough to run the engine but not let it start. But if you use something to get it started you can drive it. I would have the fuel pressure tested and if it is low get get that pump replaced. You may want to change the fuel filter aswell...
