I have a 98 Chevrolet Blazer, 4WD, 4.3 liter engine. 104,000 miles. I replaced the water pump 6 months ago (it was definitely bad). Since then I have had to replace the gaskets between the pump and the engine 4 times due to excessive leaking or just plain blow outs. We have put in new bolts, verified the torque. We notice two blowouts of the gaskets when the vehicle was accelerating. Is it possible that there is too much pressure in the cooling system? We have replaced the radiator cap and it still occurs.

You should look at your fan hub it may be bent. I had this problem twice on two different truck. The fan vibrate and loosen the water pump bolt.
