I have a 92 blazer 2WD v6 with 150000 the engine.
It recently cut outwhile i was at a red light and would just turn over.It would start up if u sprayed ether into the engine, then it cut off after a second. After replacing the ignition coil, distrubutor cap, rotary
button, and pickup coil we finally replaced the module in the distributor. That got it to start up.

Now it idles fine and as log as u keep the throttle down no issues come up. If you reach half throttle after it warms up it starts cutting out and sputtering. If u take it down back to below half it goes fine again. We have check the fuel pressure it is good. and we hooked it up to a computer and didn't help any. I was advised by the 4th mechanic i had look at it to take it to a chevy dealership and have them run a diagnostic on it but being that will be another $80 and i have already been pouring money out to fix it i would see what i find on here.

I think you are better off narrowing it down some, I could guess that the TPS is NG but....

I think we have figured it out. we think the timing chain is off(atleast that is what everyone helping me is decided). So we are gonna get a weekend day or two to sit down and replace it.......it seems like it will be about as much fun as shooting my foot but you gotta do what you gotta do.
