I just recently got this car as a fixer upper. Im not good at describing this but when accelerating the sound that comes from the engine sounds like a card in a bicycle hitting the spokes. Is that normal? And when I turn on my air conditioner it makes a louder sound that sounds bad and I looked at the engine and one of the things that the belt loops around spins when I turn ac on. I just dont know what is wrong with it.

I would start by taking off the belt, and starting the vehicle (not for long only like 20 30 seconds) if noise went away. You have isolated problem is one of the pulleys. Again do not run vehicle long without the belt because it can cause it to overheat.
