2000 Chevy Blazer my battery metter will not go past 14volt

i was wandering is this normal cause i recently put a new battery in it and my battery meter still wont go past 14volts

HI there,
This should not be a problem, the alternator will charge the battery as required and maintain the correct input voltage via the voltage regulator, any more than 14V would be an over charge state and this would boil the battery, if you are concerned get the alternator charge rate checked, but i am sure that all is well and you have no problem.
