1999 Chevy Blazer Starting

Electrical problem
1999 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 175000 miles

We just changed the motor and now when we turn the key nothing happens. We have charged the battery. When the key is in the on postion all the electrical works including the headlights. When the key is turned to start the headlights go out but will not start.

If the starter won't crank, check the starter circuit. At the starter relay, Terminal 30 is hot all the time. Terminal 85 goes hot with the key in the crank position. When relay is energized, the purple wire carries voltage to the starter solenoid S terminal. Any testing make sure the tranny is in park or neutral and the e-brake is set.

Thanks for the info.
The PPL/WHT wire does have power when the key is in the crack postion, but, the PPL wire is not. If I understand the drawing the relay should be replaced.

It's possible there is no voltage to terminal 30? You may also have to check ground for the coil side of relay? Yes, it could be the relay?
