i've heard that you are unable to swap a 97' blazer engive with a 95' blazer, because of them having different computers in them. is this true???

hi i have done an engine swap on a 1997 blazer myself and it was the biggest pain in the ass to do however ive done worse. however as far as the engines go im not 100% sure if you can use the engine from a 95 because it does have a different injection system however you would think that if you take the intake manifold of of your old motor and put it on the other engine it might work however if you do this you must make sure that the intake ports line up becuse this is very important. also you need to make sure that other stuff will line up because of the bracket locations and other stuff like that . but i dont see why it wouldnt work because that 4.3 hasnt chaged for years except injection designs. hope this helps good luck with the engine pull if you have any questions reguarding that feel free to contact me i know alot of tricks and methods of pulling an engine from that truck!!!!!
